Fuji is one of the most promising apple cultivars in the world, due to its excellent taste and high productivity. Introduced in Brazil in 1967, it became, together with Gala, one of the most important varieties, with the two cultivars being the leaders, both in terms of planted areas and production. The fruit is medium to large in size, round-oblate or oblong in shape, with a medium, shallow peduncular cavity, a large, open calyx and a medium peduncle. The skin is thin, with a striped red and yellowish-green color. The pulp is aromatic, light yellow in color, firm, crunchy, very juicy, and has a sweet and pleasant flavor.
